About the Company
The Grove Montessori is a beautiful purpose-built building. It is located in the suburb area of Wanstead situated in the middle of local high street. Grove Montessori is a brand new nursery which is opening in February 2021. Our goal is to support children’s physical, social, emotional and cognitive development so all children become confident learners.
What we are looking for
We are looking for a Montessori experienced Deputy Manager to assist the Nursery Manager in the role of planning, development and management and quality improvement of the nursery. The Deputy Manager must have very high standards and excel in delivering the highest quality of education in Montessori for children. To help develop and manage an effective staff team that provides quality childcare to local people and their children. To comply with the Children, Act 2006 (Childcare and Education Law) and associated Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework, all relevant Health and Safety, Employment Law legislation, the Montessori Association and any actions set by Ofsted.
Commit to the Company’s HEART values and ensure they are strongly embedded within the nursery environment.
You must possess the skills to influence others be a role model who models good practice in Montessori to the highest standards thus, being a strong influencer who lives the Company’s H.E.A.R.T values with a proven track record of achieving Ofsted Good or Outstanding results.
Qualification:
Must hold a Bachelors Degree in Montessori
Main duties:
· Assist in the Implementation of leadership and management
· To work with HR in the recruitment and selection or relevant staff.
· To assist in Managing all staff and promote the companies H.E.A.R.T Values
· To help support staff in ensuring a challenging environment and play is provided for children to explore, learn and develop
· To plan activities appropriate to the age and development of the children
· To assist with the teaching, care and welfare of children
· To assist with the induction and settling in of children attending
· To assist with inductions for New Starters
· Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
· To comply with Treehouse Nursery Schools Safeguarding policy
· To be responsible for the Health and Safety standards appropriate for the needs of young children and ensuring staff compliance and awareness
· Actively promote equality and diversity, tackle poor behaviour towards others, including bullying and discrimination, and narrowing any gaps in outcomes between different groups of children.
· Support the Nursery Manager and Business Manager in the management of the nursery

Role: Montessori Teacher
Hours: Monday to Friday 40 hours per week
Salary: £24,000 – £26,000 per annum
Location: The Grove Montessori, Wanstead, E11 2EW

Qualification:

Main Duties
• Use the Montessori Nursery curriculum and current research in order to develop and train practitioners.
• Work with the staff in the room in the planning and preparation of activities to develop all aspects of the child’s individual development.
• Helping to provide an appropriate programme which supports the Montessori approach of learning activities in a stimulating and learning environment for the children.
• Maintain an ongoing conversation with practitioners and parents regarding how to best coordinate curriculum.
• Assisting with staff inductions and helping new staff to fit into the nursery.
• Assisting the deputy manager and the nursery manager with the trainees or students are monitored, coached, mentored and supported and any underperformance tackled.
• Plan and implement the Montessori curriculum. Give appropriate presentations and establish a record keeping system to track the children’s progress.
