Head of School
A unique opportunity to launch a radically bespoke 6 child setting in North London, N8 for children aged 1 to 4.
Playhood is a new Montessori childcare model to reimagine and rebalance early familyhood. Our child members play, learn and grow in our lush garden studio, whilst their parents work from our tranquil work space.
A UK first, built upon Montessori’s ‘Whole Child’, we aim to support the ‘Whole Family’ by creating a community of peers who understand the challenges in balancing family roles. With a common purpose we’ll combine our strengths to create an unparalleled model of Montessori childcare in a beautiful design-led setting.
The Head of School role is pivotal to the Playhood model. You will be regarded as a highly respected expert in your field, included and valued in the development of the wider model, which we plan to scale to other neighbourhoods. We are therefore seeking an exceptional person; you’ll be a passionate, entrepreneurial and creative Montessori teacher, with demonstrable experience from a highly rated setting.
You will have the freedom and support to design and deliver a curriculum and daily structure, choose and source resources and bring in external experts. With only 6 children per day, you have the opportunity to create an environment genuinely responsive to each individual child and will build strong relationships with the parent members.
